Mount Semeru (Indonesian: Gunung Semeru) is an active volcano in East Java, Indonesia. It is located in the subduction zone, where the Indo-Australia plate subducts under the Eurasia plate.
It is the highest mountain on the island of Java. This stratovolcano is also known as Mahameru, meaning “The Great Mountain” in Sanskrit. The name derives from Hindu cosmology’s mountain, Meru or Semeru, the abode of gods.

Pick up at the airport or station in Malang City, proceed to the village of Ranu Pani in Lumajang by taking a jeep from Cemoro Lawang Probolinggo or Overlap Malang, and prepare for licensing arrangements to Ranu Kumbolo, a journey that takes approximately 5 hours.
Once you arrive at Ranu Kumbolo and our team sets up a tent and prepares food for the night, you can explore the beauty of Lake Ranu Kumbolo until it comes to rest.

Day II: Ranu Kumbolo, Kalimati, and Arcopodo (B/L/D)
In the morning, you can enjoy the natural beauty that is around Ranu Kumbolodan. After breakfast, preparation for leaving for Kalimati takes 4-5 hours, then rest and set up a tent for the night.
Day III: Mahameru Peak, Ranu Pane, Malang, and Surabaya (B)
At 01.00 in the morning, the climb to the top of Mahameru begins by bringing the necessary equipment; the body condition must be fit. To climb Mahameru Peak, which is the highest peak on the island of Java, we will take 3–5 hours of hiking.
After soaking in the beauty at the peak of Semeru, return to camp at Arcopodo or Kalimati for breakfast and prepare for the journey back to Ranu Pani Village, where you can rest at Ranu Kumbolo. The journey takes approximately 9 hours.
Once you arrive at Ranu Pani, proceed in a Jeep vehicle to return to Malang or Surabaya at the agreed-upon location.
